The new Uniden BCD996XT may look just like its similarly named predecessor, the 996T, but inside it's all completely different! The new scanner greatly raises the bar with much better APCO-25 digital decoding, as well as a number of new features and more memory. For those who like GPS scanning, a feature no other manufacturer offers, you can now enable or disable not only systems, but also groups depending on the location (optional GPS antenna that is sold is needed). Radio now offers band-range features, fire Tone Out search features to help you determine the tone of frequency used, improve close call APCO-25 NAC code decoding, and more. The 996XT is a great leapforward.
