Silver is nowadays a very preferred means of disinfection. Its anti-bacterial effects were already known by the ancient Greeks and Romans.  They used silver containers to store water and other liquids to keep them fresh for longer. According to Herodot's files, silver was used long before our summer.  The Romans kept the wine in silver urn to prevent it from being devalued.

Minimal side effects have been observed with external application of colloidal silver.  Nevertheless, care should be taken, especially in persons predisposed to various allergies.  Therefore, it is a good idea to try the first application on a smaller piece of skin and wait about an hour to see if there is any allergic reaction.

Protective class FFP2 and FFP3 (N95)

There are constant reports in the media about how to protect yourself from the coronavirus. The WHO's World Health Organisation has already commented on the subject of viral diseases. The organization recommends maintaining hygiene, covering your mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing, and avoiding contact with people showing signs of respiratory disease. In relation to viruses, it is also recommended to pay close attention to the sufficient heat treatment of meat and eggs.

To date, the organisation has not issued any instruction to the general public to wear protective equipment (full face masks, semi-masks, respirators,...). It has only published guidance for healthcare professionals, medics and those who come into contact with infected patients. Here, the WHO recommends the use of goggles, a protective shield, protective clothing and disposable gloves with fluid resistance. In such cases, respirators and protective equipment with a filter type of at least FFP2 (filter protection class P2) or FFP3 / N95 (filter protection class P3) are designated for respiratory protection. The Chinese Standard N95 is equivalent to the European standard FFP3, so it is the same class of protection.

What will protect us from viruses - a robe, mask or respirator?

The sight of TV news and photos from Chinese cities and airports around the world with people wearing face coverings makes many feel that this is the right protection from the coronavirus. However, this is not the case. Why?

Guise – protects the environment from viruses

If you are sick and do not want to infect your children, wife, friends, you put on a robe. The veil retains the infectious "microlibes" that you cough up or sneeze so that they do not pass on. So it protects the neighborhood from a sick person. On the contrary, this is not the case, the virus reaches the sick without much trouble. In addition, the face mask is leaking (the air from the surrounding area is easy to get into your airways) and therefore inappropriate in the case of coronavirus and do not even think about it.

Respirator – protects a healthy person against viruses (including pollutants) from the surrounding area

The respirator works the other way around. Once deployed, it filters the air you in breathe in and collects harmful substances (dust, smoke, liquid mist (so-called aerosol)) so that they do not enter your respiratory system. And that's exactly what's needed with the coronavirus outbreak. Respirators can be found in three protection classes (FFP1, FFP2, FFP3), but for virus (and coronavirus) protection, ask only class FFP2 or FFP3.

How to make a protective veil (cut)

We have prepared instructions for you on how to sew your own textile protective cover, which protects not only you but your surroundings to a high degree and significantly reduces the spread of viruses, dust and bacteria. We recommend sewing a protective cover made of 100% cotton and silver-containing fabric so that you can wash it. The great advantage of cotton robes is precisely the possibility of washing and reuse.

Keep in mind that the robes do not have 100% resistance to the virus and if you have the option to wear a certified veil or respírator, give it priority.

- Removes 40-60 dB signal between 500-2500 MHz

- Increasing layer increases attenuation

- Light and washable

CellAntenna's RF Blocking technology reduces or eliminates the levels of signal enclosed in it. The fabric consists of nanolevel copper fragments built into polyester fibre. It's not a metal fiber bond. CellAntenna can produce RF Blocking material of any shape or size, including clothing, vehicle inserts, hinges and even tents.

How to sew a single-layer robe

The easiest to manufacture is a single-layer guise. The front side is pointing outwards, and the mouth is touching the robe's side. You'll have it sewn in minutes.
