The detector guards as a classic PIR detector and as soon as it detects movement in a guarded area, it activates a microwave detector that confirms the previous PIR activation. Only after confirmation of movement from the MW detector is the alarm sent to the control panels.
Pir detection characteristics can be optimised using interchangeable lenses.
The detector is addressable and occupys one position in the alarm system.
