It is designed to detect fire hazards in the interior of residential or commercial buildings. It includes a siren that reports a fire alarm from its own detector as well as from other fire detectors in the system.
If the detector is powered from the control panel bus, it works as a system (STN EN 54-7; STN EN 54-5).
If the detector is powered by inserted batteries (3x 1.5 V AA), then in case of loss of supply voltage 12 V or communication with the control panel, it continues to operate autonomously (STN EN 14604).
The detector indicates the occurrence of danger by an optically built-in signal and acoustically by a siren. It can signal acoustically:
- own fire alarm
- fire alarm from the system (alarm caused by another fire detector)
- another type of alarm (eg burglary alarm)
- for alarms reported from the system, sections from which the alarm will be signaled can be set
The product contains two separate detectors - an optical smoke detector and a temperature detector. The optical detector works on the principle of scattered light. It is very sensitive to larger particles that are in dense smoke. It is less sensitive to small particles formed by the combustion of liquids such as alcohol. Therefore, a temperature detector is built in, which has a slower response, but is able to detect a fire with a small amount of smoke.
The product should be installed by a trained technician with a valid Jablotron certificate. The detector is not intended for installation in an industrial environment.
